Gresford Village Bowling Club
Opened in 2009, the new Pavilion was built with funding from
WREN and the Wrexham Rural Development Key Fund, administered by
AVOW and facilitated by M Heaton.
In the 2010 bowling season, a total of 120 competitive matches
were played on the two greens at Gresford Bowling Club.
The new pavilion was the hub of the activities and in constant
use 4 to 6 hours most days between mid March and early October. In
addition to the above competitive games, the facilities were used
for friendlies and social games by up to 20 members most Thursday
and Friday afternoons.
Several Club competitions, many lasting up to 6/8 hours and
attracting up to 40 players, were also held during the season.
The new pavilion has greatly enhanced the facilities and enabled
us to enlist some new members during the season and several more
have expressed an interest for 2011.
BOOKINGS
When the pavilion is not in use by the Bowling Club and
especially during the winter months, this delightful small room is
available for hire by other groups or individuals. We have had band
practice (no neighbours!) and there are the possibilities of MP's
surgeries, Bird Watching, a place for personal tuition or study and
small meetings.
The pavilion can be booked by e-mail on contact@gresfordtrust.org ,
telephoning 01978 856650 or by visiting the Memorial Hall.
