Spick and Span
The outside was painted in the late Autumn and work inside has been carried out as and when we had rooms free. We needed a tower scaffold to paint the hall and whilst we had this equipment we replaced all the tubes in the light fittings and repaired damaged blinds.
Of course there is always something else to do. Now we have an outside play area we have to invest in mats to prevent the hall floor getting damaged by dirt and grit! Then we have to find a place to store the mats. Its called the ripple effect!
NEW ART WORKS
We have a hanging rail system in the narrow corridor which can be used to display work. Is anyone from the Art group interested? The only proviso is that glass should be safety glass or polycarbonate. Please let us know if you would like to display your work.
In the corridor adjacent to the Blue Room we have photographs of Gresford in the snow taken by Mr Peter Davies, a former Trustee. Peter was a great supporter of the Trust. He carried out a great deal of work in the Constitution Club and was a tower of strength when we were trying to get the new hall built. Unfortunately Peter died several years ago and we thought it a fitting tribute to hang his photograhs in the Memorial Hall.
The large painting in the main corridor is from the Art Collection for Wales, gifted to us last Autumn.
