Photovoltaic Solar Panels

23 January 2012 by Jo Burke

Gresford Trust were successful in arranging for 42 Photovoltaic solar panels to be installed (by Allbrite from Mold) just before the government's revised deadline to qualify for the advantageous Feed in Tariff (FIT). The panels have the capacity to generate up to 10Kw/h (8,000Kw/year) which will reduce the Trust's electricity bills, provide ongoing funding to support the Trust's activities as well as contributing to the Government's target to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

The completed structure, we think, looks very well indeed and sits comfortably amidst our lovely playing fields. All we need now is lots of sun - although they still do work in rather gloomy weather!

We have very enthusiastic and extremely successful cricket teams, so extra protection needs to be provided  to safeguard against well hit sixes!!

As well as cricket, local people can join in with the football, tennis, bowls, craft, art, karate, and a wide range of activities for all ages.  Rooms are often hired for parties, seminars and the occasional wedding receptions. In the present economic climate that may be something worth considering for your special day?
